Rater Training:
Adena's Training for Home Energy Ratings is RESNET Accredited.
On-site, classroom and hands-on training coupled with distance learning to make the best use
of your time.
In order to make the most of your time, our training starts you off by having you
complete several on-line modules. These are self-paced and have quizzes at the end
of each module to help you test your understanding of the material and to prepare you
for the National Rater Test. We will be in regular communication so you can ask
questions and verify your understanding.
Once you have completed the modules you will come to the on-site portion where
you will have hands-on training field data collection, blower door testing, duct
testing, HVAC testing, and software data entry. Additional classroom training will
also take place.
You will perform the required supervised ratings.
You will complete three ratings with the trainer. For these, you will
perform either plan take-offs or collect field data. You will perform data
entry into the rating software and complete rating reports.
National Rater Test Review
At the end of the on-site training, we will have a review session to
prepare for the National Rater test.
Finally we will offer the National Rater Test
