We offer distance learning for much of our field inspector training while
maintaining the traditional on-site encounter for data collection and
building diagnostics. Students may begin our on-line training modules
at any time. The on-site training schedule can also be flexible to meet
your needs. We are also willing to come to your location if the minimum
class size is met.
On-site, classroom and hands-on training coupled with distance learning to make
the best use of your time.
In order to make the most of your time, our training starts you off by having
you complete several on-line modules. These are self-paced and have quizzes
at the end of each module to help you test your understanding of the material
and to prepare you for the National Field Inspector Test. We will be in regular
communication so you can ask questions and verify your understanding.
Once you have completed the modules you will come to the on-site portion
where you will have hands-on training field data collection, blower door
testing, duct testing, HVAC testing, and reporting. Additional classroom
training will also take place.
You will perform several supervised inspections.
You will complete two inspections for ratings with the trainer.
For these, you will perform either plan take-offs or collect field data.
National Field Inspector Test and Review
At the end of the on-site training, we will have a review session to
prepare for the National Field Inspector Test. Finally we will offer
the National Field Inspector Test.
